- Habitat: Found in fast-flowing rivers in Africa and South America.
- Behavior: They are peaceful filter feeders, utilizing their fans to filter micro-organisms and tiny particles from the water.
- Compatibility: Best kept with peaceful community fish and other invertebrates.
- Feeding: Supplement their diet with frozen foods like cyclops, baby brine shrimp, and daphnia.
